🌮 I love making tacos and since I haven’t mastered street tacos yet, we make the american version of ground beef or ground turkey tacos. I hate to use store bought mixes so I started making my own about a year ago.
This recipe will make enough for a month’s worth of Taco Tuesday’s. (4 servings, depending how flavorful you like your tacos!)
- 4 Tablespoons Chili Powder
- 2 Tablespoons Cumin
- 1 Tablespoon Paprika
- 1 Tablespoon Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Oregano
- 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
- Pinch of Cayenne Pepper
Mix it all together in a store tight container, I use a good ole’ canning jar.
For using with 1.5 pounds of ground meat or tofu crumbles, I add roughly 2-3 Tablespoons of seasoning, 1/4 cup of water and mix it all together, let it simmer for 6 minutes while you warm up the tortillas or shells and get your favorite taco toppings together.
What do you love on your tacos? 🌮🌮🌮
I’m a soft taco lover with lettuce, tomatoes and a tablespoon of salsa. I also love fresh avocado slices if we have it.
